first off I want to apologise, I have lied to you!
Not lied in the way that I have deceived you, I have lied to myself and this in turn has meant that I haven't served you to the fullest of my ability.
This lie is insideous, it's one of the 2 bigggest lies that as a society we tend to tell ourselve, we mascerade it as being humble, we say we don't want to hurt peoples feeling, how us being lewss than we are will not mean others will appear weak around us.
I myself have done this, for far too long.
The lie is this "believing that you are not enough"....
have enough money
in a good enough shape.
These are lies, massive lies and they are all based in future based thinking!
You are comparing where you are now with where you want to be (happier, richer, funnier, more friends, skinnier, etc, whatever it is for you).
Sadly the only response is more wanting as you'll never get there, you're always looking and comparing forwards, if you always compare forwards, how can you ever achieve?
I know because underneath it all this is how I have been feeling.
Feeling that I am not good enough, that i don't do enough, i can't do enough, all based in future comparisons!!!
STOP THIS NOW!!!!!
It doesn't serve you, it in fact robs you of time and energy, in fact it's fucking exhausting!!!!
I have done this pretty much my whole life, thinking I have not been good enough. IT has caused so much pain, to my family who I have put through some crazy shit like bankruptcy, homelessness, illness I am sorry I and you are worth so much more!!
To my friends if you felt judged by my actions, I am sorry.
To my children, if I ever made you feel this was your issue, I am sorry, sincerely!
The answer is actually deceptively simple and 3 fold:
1) look back!
Seriously, look back, compare yourself to where you were yesterday, last week, last year etc and simply aim to be better, even by the tiniest amount. Progress is progress and any amount will always take you forwards, no matter how small.
2) Wake up every day and define who you are going to be.
Yep literally when you wake up after you have taken your first breath simply decide and commit to who are you going to be today!!! If you were harsh yesterday, be kind. If you were rude, be humble, if you were funny but mean, well just be funny.
Again simple, please don't overlook this due to it's simplicity, often the answers always are, we over-complicate looking for them.
3) at the end of the day evaluate how you did on the first 2 and resolve to do better tomorrow.
Again that's it, noth complicated about it really, now simply just get to it. Pick a day, start tonight, have a look back and decide who was i today and then, who will I be tomorrow?
For anyone who has suffered with this issue of "not enoughness", ping me a message and I'll see if I can help.
